This is the rare mispressing which contains the alternate 'demo' version of the Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross remix/reworking of the Halloween theme. Once this mistake was discovered the record label recalled the record from retailers and destroyed all remaining copies making this version, which was already very limted, and which sold out instantly, even more rare!!! The following email was sent from NIN.com:

"WE SCREWED UP.

The audio contained on the 12” pressing of Halloween released on Sacred Bones is a previous recording of the Trent Reznor & Atticus Ross version of the song, which differs from what was released digitally last year. A lacquer of the 'previous version' was cut and then scrapped, because Trent and Atticus decided that they could improve upon the recording. They went on to create the ‘definitive’ track that is available everywhere digitally.

A MISTAKE WAS MADE when pressing the currently available 12”, and the ‘previous’ version was erroneously included."

Please note that I purchased these copies from a retailer and therefore I am not the original retailer therefore I'm pretty sure that you will not be able to exchange this copy for the 'corrected' version of the record that will be coming out sometime in 2019. However considering how rare this misspress is I doubt that any NIN or John Carpenter fan would want to part with it anyway.
