This is a Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs Ultra High Quality pressing of The Beatles "SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND" LP.
Mobile Fidelity Sound Labs released only eight UHQR titles, each in a worldwide limited edition of only 5000 copies. "SGT. PEPPER'S LONELY HEARTS CLUB BAND" (MFQR 1-100) was released in 1982.
The disc itself was pressed by the Victor Company of Japan, on 200 gram HD "Super" vinyl, from a half-speed master recording.
The record is housed in a 3/4-inch black cardboard box. On the inside of the box lid is a pouch, which contains a Technical Specification Manual, and a signed UHQR Certificate of Authenticity. The record is housed in a separate inner album cover and static-free inner sleeve. It is sandwiched between two 1/4-inch foam protectors.
I am the original, and only owner of this record. It has been played four times: when I opened it, when I copied it to tape, when I copied it digitally, and last week (because I wanted to hear this remarkable recording one last time before parting with it).
This particular copy is number 1610 / 5000. It is in beautiful condition... both the disc itself, and the packaging.
