Lot 17 Vtg 1970's 1980's LP Record Salsa Samba Latin Funk Soul DAMAGED COVERS
There are 134 photos of the item below.
Selling as a lot, AS-IS (I do grade each record below), most all have water damaged covers. A lot of the vinyl needs cleaning. There are 134 photos, I show the cover of each first of all, then go back and show covers and labels front and back and sometimes the disc and other shots of the jacket or disc. So please take the time to look over the photos and read the descriptions I've done my best to honestly grade these, but they are sold AS-IS. Note that normally I remove the disc from the jacket in shipping to avoid edge splitting. In this case many of the records do not have an inner sleeve. I don't have extra inner sleeves or even outer poly covers, so I won't be packing these as I normally would, I will remove the vinyl and stack with the jacket, I will find some sort of inner sleeve from the ones that are missing. I don't specify if there are inner sleeves below, I didn't notice anything besides plastic or generic blank ones.
--- Cuarteto Los Ralos: Cover: Water staining seen on the back upper and lower right side/corners. Split and taped edges, worn, piece missing on right front edge as shown Vinyl: Good Minus, has a rather long deep looking scratch, numerous other scratches and wear, typically well worn/played disc, probably will play but with possible skipping
--- Orquesta Inmensidad: Cover: Under shrink, lower half heavy ripple from moisture, has some spotting on front. Vinyl: Has a long scratch with a 1/2" section looking like it will probably tic (otherwise the scratch is light). Rest of both sides look EX with a little dust and a few fingerprints, nice luster (almost looks unplayed)
--- Nati y su Orquesta: Cover: Under shrink, heavy ripples from water, some mold spotting/staining. Vinyl: Has a small 1/4" scratched area that will be audible and might skip, otherwise VG
--- Jimmy Sabater: Cover: Moisture ripples with staining seen on back, top right edge split: Vinyl: A few tiny outer rim scratches like a needle bounce going into 1/4" of first song side B, also another small scratch scuff that aligns with the grooves and is about 1/2" long (like a scuff from the record hitting something like a table edge) otherwise VG or better visually (some dust and some dust spotting but looks fairly decent with some light marks
--- Siembra: Cover: Under shrink, right edge ripples, some edge creases, some tiny debris specs under shrink in places Vinyl: Looks VG, does have a longish wide scuff but looks like it sits on top of grooves, not really seeing any scratches, mostly scuffing. Some dust etc
--- Willie Colon Grandes Exitos: Cover under shrink, rippled from moisture, some small debris specs under shrink but not many: Vinyl: Needs to be cleaned, has some dust spotting as well as surface dust, but otherwise VG or better
--- Billo's Caracas Boys Billo '72: Cover: Molded on back as shown, water stained and rippled. Vinyl: Looks unplayed, noted a light scuff but otherwise looks EX
--- Supermezcla 86: Cover: Left side is water rippled with some white specs/spots formed under shrink (mold). Vinyl: Mostly looks unplayed, has a few grooves with what looks like a scratch in the groove, noted some dust spotting like mold so will need cleaning.
--- Guaco: Cover: Left side is water rippled with some white specs/spots formed under shrink (mold). Vinyl: Has mold spotting so will need cleaning, otherwise noted some light marks/fine light scratches, looks like it will clean up to VG or better
--- Maracaibo 15: Cover: Bottom half water rippled with some signs of mold or staining under shrink, Vinyl: needs some cleaning but looks like a VG at least
--- Epic 7: Cover: Upper right side area water rippled, some top edge facing damage. Vinyl: Needs cleaning, noted a few small needle bounce type scratches that will probably be audible, noted numerous line marks but lightly rubbed a few and they were stains, quick visual inspection VG
--- Daiquiri: Cover: Water rippled and mold staining. Vinyl: has dust/mold spotting, needs cleaning, does have long fine scratch marks etc, probably has potential to be VG
--- Disco Samba: Cover: Top half stained on both sides, a little rippling but not as bad as others. Vinyl: A few dust spots that will need cleaning, a few possible scuffs but in general has that unplayed look, VG at least I would say
--- Alaska Y Dinarama: Cover: Water stained and rippled. Vinyl: Needs some cleaning, a few small audible looking scratches but should clean up VG or better.
--- Paco de Lucia: Cover: Water stain left spine edge down cover, light warp, Not sure if edges are supposed to be yellowed because in the gatefold it is clear that the darker edges are part of the design (see photos). Vinyl: A few small groove scratches (has some specs on top so might just be a stain but should assume audible scratch), otherwise VG at least
--- Rocio Jurado: Cover: Under shrink, looks like some possible light mold spotting underneath. Some water ripple Vinyl: Needs cleaning has dust/mold spotting, has a few small scratches that look audible, if cleaned up most would grade VG I would guess (
--- Wilfredo: Cover: Staining and water ripples. Vinyl: Has numerous long faint long marks that to me look like a surface residue mark, not sure, hard to grade, needs cleaning (if those are just residue stains would clean up decently)
--- Bayanihan 6: Cover: Staining, mild warping, edge splitting, heavy edge wear. Vinyl: Very dirty, has some scratches but looks like it would clean up to a VG I think
--- Bayanihan: Cover: Bottom edge split, other edges worn,Vinyl: Very dirty, does have wear and scratches, probably a G but maybe better in places
