Here's a UK pressing of the I Can Hear Music / Goin' Back 7" by Larry Lurex, issued in 1973
This 7" was the first UK 7" ever released by Queen, it was released under the alias Larry Lurex
Issued just prior to the first Queen LP in mid 1973
Limited edition UK 7" repress of just 500 copies
Queen's / Freddie Mercury's first recorded effort goes back to 1972 under the pseudonym Larry Lurex.
house engineer Robin Geoffrey Cable was working in a musical project at the time when Queen were recording their debut LP. Cable asked Mercury to perform lead vocals on the songs "" and "".
Mercury then enlisted Brian May and Roger Taylor to assist in recording the tracks.
These recordings were released on a 7" in 1973 under the name Larry Lurex.
This was essentially the first ever Queen UK 7".
