Product/Provenance

Pink Cashmere was the first single from Prince's first compilation albums The Hits 1 and The Hits 2, taken specifically from The Hits 1 (also included as the first disc of The Hits / The B-Sides).

It was released two weeks before the album with a limited release, only available in the USA, Germany and Japan. The b-side, Soft And Wet, was also taken from The Hits 1 (although originally taken from Prince's first album For You and released as his first single, which likely prompted its inclusion as the b-side).

The single reached number 50 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Chart, and number 14 on the Billboard Hot R&B Chart.

This is the original US PROMO only 12” from 1993 with unique picture sleeve. The sleeve on this record contains a picture of Prince on the reverse and promo text, neither of which are found on any of the other cover arts for this release.

Sleeve - N MINT, the sleeve is crisp and sharp, the colours are bright like new, free of any splits, rips or tears, stored since new. I’m being fastidious here with my grading, it is in beautiful condition.
