The Cure: Standing On The Beach first U.K. pressing released in gatefold sleeve in 1988 on the Fiction label, (cat no FIXH 12). Using The Record Collector grading system, I have graded this item as being in very good condition, namely: ''The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.'' Visually the vinyl has some light surface marks and some superficial scratches and these cause a little background crackle in places but nothing worrying. Play back would grade as being very good+. The gatefold sleeved cover remains in really nice shape with no significant issues other than the hole in the spine of the sleeve (see above photo). Original inner sleeve has no rips or tears and remains in very nice condition. All in all, a very nice copy of a first pressing of this album.
