(2-LP set) "Use Me" introduces and throws the spotlight on the fantastic voice of Singaporean vocalist Vanessa Fernandez. This album of audiophile quality covers of soul and R&B classics from the 70s and 80s was done in an "unplugged" style with acoustic instruments and arrangements used on all of the tracks. Vocals are tremendously dynamic (no compression or limiting used), with superb presence and detail for all other instruments including the drum set. Resolution is of the highest order and this is an LP that rewards for both musical performance and outstanding audio quality. The song selection includes tunes by Marvin Gaye, Curtis Mayfield, Isaac Hayes, Earth Wind & Fire, Bill Withers, Al Green and others. 
Top musicians playing on the album include the great bassist Lee Sklar (Phil Collins, Rita Coolidge, Bonnie Raitt, Linda Ronstadt, Lyle Lovett), acoustic guitars - Tim Pierce (Bruce Springsteen, Michael Jackson, Celine Dion, Roger Waters, Tina Turner, Eric Clapton), electric piano - Jim Cox (Willie Nelson, BB King, Aaron Neville, Ringo Starr, Lyle Lovett), drums - Victor Indrizzo (Macy Grey, Marianne Faithfull, Meatloaf, Emmylou Harris), percussion - Rafael Padillo (Julio Iglesias, Celine Dion, Pavarotti, Gloria Estefan), and harmonica Stanley Behrens (Willie Dixon, Canned Heat, Ruth Brown).

Groove Note records all of our albums at the best studios in Hollywood (Oceanway, Record One, Cello, Sunset Sound) using a top Grammy nominated recording engineer, Michael C. Ross. All of our albums are recorded 100% analogue and the production masters are also mixed by 100% analogue by MC Ross. All albums are cut by one of the greatest mastering engineers in the world, Bernie Grundman, on an all analogue tube cutting system using all upgraded and modified vintage Sculley cutting lathes. All LPs plated and pressed by RTI on 180g audiophile vinyl.

Shipping

City Hall Records has designed a special cardboard mailer with extra protective spaces on the corners.  Your record will also be insulated with thick cardboard pads and packed tightly to avoid movement during shipping.  We understand that you want your LPs to arrive in the condition described.  Over 8,000 shipments have produced only praise for our packing methods. 

Our average time to ship is within 1 business day after receipt of your payment.  Most US shipments are delivered within 10 days but Media Mail varies; please allow up to 15 business days before calling it late.

To get combined shipping rate (Request total from seller)

After you’ve used the Add To Cart button on each item:

1. Look at the bottom of your cart page.

2. If you see a discounted shipping amount listed in green, then you are all set to Proceed To Checkout.

3. If you do not see a discounted shipping amount, then click on the  Request Total From Seller button at the top right of your cart.

4. Review your order details and submit your request for a new total.  You may also add a message if you have any questions or requests.

Wait for us to modify the shipping rate on the invoice which we will send you the first business day after you've done this.

 

Sealed LP Inspection Service

Since all of our items are factory sealed we cannot be fully responsible for the condition of the invisible part, unless you ask us to inspect it.  Even though incorrect, defective or damaged product is very rare, we highly recommend that you allow us to inspect your item before we ship it.  Just let us know by writing INSPECT in the note to seller box when paying via PayPal.

 

If there is something wrong with your record that could only have been seen by such inspection, and you did not request it, we will not be responsible for the cost of shipping the faulty product back here, or for the shipping of a replacement item to you. We will replace the faulty item, however, as long as you pay for these freight costs.

Also, many LP buyers prefer to have the disc shipped outside the jacket to minimize damage to the jacket.  If you have requested that we inspect the disc, then we will pack it outside the jacket.

International Customers

International customers; the rates shown for shipping do not apply to you.  Please input your country on the "Shipping and payments" tab above to see the rates.  If you intend on buying more than 1 LP, please  please allow us to invoice you at the time of your purchase so that you can get the best deal.

If you're in a country other than U.S. or Canada, please note you'll get the best per-unit price and fastest delivery on your LP shipments by ordering at least 4 discs at a time.

We enclose an actual invoice with your shipment and do not falsify customs valuations.

If you are at an address where there are customs duties, and you have ordered an amount that puts you just over the limit for avoidance of such duties, we are willing to do you the service of discounting the merchandise a little upon request, if you will allow us to make up for it with an equivalent increase in shipping and handling fees. We would want your agreement to give us good rankings for fair shipping/handling fees in such instances.

Please Note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding/buying.

Insurance

Like all eBay sellers, we're required to ensure that every shipment reaches the buyer in good condition. For that reason every eBay seller is self-insuring, and must build that cost into their selling price and/or shipping/handling fees. Nevertheless, if you wish to buy your own insurance, you may. Simply ask us to include insurance prior to payment.
