著名作曲家。创立了中国伶歌的演唱形式。曾获多项国家大奖，参与诸多国家级重大晚会、舞台剧的创作。主要作品有：大型京剧音乐电视连续剧《哥哥你走西口》、舞台剧《火焰山》，曾出版唱片《龙抬头》、《粉墨是梦》等。在纯音乐及戏曲音乐领域皆有建树。作品在国内外均有深远的影响，也是当今中国最具盛名的戏曲音乐家之一 。

曾获文化部“文华”音乐创作奖、 “五个一工程”奖等荣誉。

About the Composer:

Meng Qinghua, renowned composer who creates the form of Ling Ge, the Chinese orchestral lieder with inspirations from Chinese folk songs. He has won several national awards for his achievements and participated in the production of a number of national performances and dramas. His works include: My Brother You're Migrating West, the large-scale Beijing opera TV series, The Flaming Mountain, the musical stage performance and albums like Dragon Heads-raising and Dream of an Opera. He is also widely recognized in absolute music and Xiqu production. With a profound influence both home and abroad, he is one of the most reputable musicians in China. He also won the music prize of Wenhua sponsored by the Culture Ministry and The Five-One Project.
