DEBUT ALBUM from this British blues rock institution - arguably one of the most important bands to have ever emerged out of these fair Isle's along side Led Zep and Deep Purple. This album showcases a fledgling band getting into their stride with a solid set of pure riff-tastic blues allowing vocalist Paul Rodgers to shine and guitarist Paul Kossoff to take off on some incredible flights of fancy. Some great tracks here including 'Walk In My Shadow', 'Goin' Down Slow', 'I'm A Mover' and 'The Hunter' among many, many others.

A fantastic album (produced by the infamous Guy Stevens) and one that started the ball for a string of recordings that shook the very foundations of the establishment.

This auction is part of a fantastic collection of seventies rock which I was lucky enough to acquire. Most of these records were stored with the utmost care and sparsely played. Some were possibly never played or may have been for just a handful of times.

Pressing: Island, UK, 1969 - Pink rim

Vinyl: Nice clean and shiny condition. One lone spindle mark on label and some very, very minor signs of use - absolutely minimal. Almost perfect. Grades as a very, very strong almost shop fresh MINT-!

Cover: Again, virtually no signs of use whatsoever. Issued in a beautifully illustrated gate-fold sleeve - very difficult to find unsoiled like this copy - retaining full printers bloom. Sharp corners, no dings, no bends, no ring wear, no split seams and no creases.  Tiny residue of a price sticker top right front - barely visible. Spine is straight, stiff and uncrushed. Beautiful and impossible to find like this 50 years after release. Grades as near shop fresh MINT-!
