Very rare BIRTHDAY PARTY Mr. Clarinet Nick Cave 7" single.

The first UK release by the band, in 1980, on Missing Link Records, the legendary (now gone) record shop in Bourke Street, Melbourne, Australia

Original UK release, (prior to the 1981 re-release on 4AD) with the Maxwell Road, Fulham SW6 address and phone number on the rear of sleeve, when Missing Link were trying to establish a UK presence. As I recall only 1,000 were pressed initially? I could be wrong on that, though.

Original thin matt paper sleeve is in very good sharp condition, with some creasing to the top front, light ring impression and the beginning of a slight"knifing" on the bottom edge of the sleeve which hasn't cut through yet.

Record is visually near-mint with no visible scratches, but the A side label has been stuck on a little off-centre. Great gloss, very clean
