Offered here is an original hard to find 78rpm shellac recording of the 1950s Trinidadian Calypso artist Lord Beginner, and the Calypso Rythm Kings, presenting their take on the Test Match victory of the West Indies team over England at Lords during 1950. The record, on the Melodisc label, was part of a growth in popularity of calypso music and Caribbean styles in the UK. On the flip side is the calinda song Sergeant Brown.
Graded (VG+) Very Good Plus, the record is a fine playing copy.
