The band’s signature gems like “Hang You From the Heavens” and “Treat Me Like Your Mother” sit pretty with explosive non-album B-sides like “You Just Can’t Win” (originally by Them) and “A Child of a Few Hours is Burning to Death” (originally by the West Coast Pop Art Experimental Band). The companion audio of Live at the Mayan marks the first-ever live LP from The Dead Weather’s first year and serves as a blistering reminder as to why this band still matters. Coupled with the LP/DVD of the Mayan performance is the final 7” 45rpm installment from the Dodge and Burn album.
