Used EMITT RHODES "The American Dream" Vinyl LP from 1970 You are bidding on one used copy of The EMITT RHODES stereo album "The American Dream" on 12 inch vinyl. This is NOT a cut-out. When originally released in 1970, it has a picture frame cover and "Saturday Night" was the second song on side 2. This is a 1971 reissue with the 'paint splatter' cover and "You're A Very Lovely Woman" replacing "Saturday Night" on side 2. Emitt Rhodes recorded all of his other albums at home by himself - this is the only one where other musicians participated. Produced by Larry Marks and Peter Pilafian.
Personnel:
The LP and jacket is USED but in very good condition. (See grading legend below). The disc is considered Excellent (EX) and is not warped. There are some light marks on both sides that are not expected to be audible. There are three small scratches on side 2. The jacket is Very Good+ (VG+): There is some top and bottom ring wear on the front; the back is better. The edges and corners show some wear, especially the lower left corner. Someone taped he bottom edge, and there is some tape on the back left. The fold is slightly worn. No creases or bends in the cardboard. The inner sleeve is generic white and solid. The pictures below are of the actual item.

AllMusic Review by Matthew Greenwald
Emitt Rhodes passed away on July 19, 2020. His Los Angeles Times obituary states: "To fulfill the Merry-Go-Round’s recording contract to A&M, the label released an album titled “American Dream” featuring a set of Rhodes’ solo performances amplified by Hollywood session musicians. Rhodes disapproved of the release and was allowed little input in the process."
A&M Records SP-4254, originally released in 1970, reissued in 1971.
Sold AS-IS. NO RETURNS Thank you for viewing our auction!
We try to grade the condition of a vinyl record conservatively . Records may be considered flat, or not warped, unless otherwise noted. If one side of a record is in better shape than the other, two grades will appear. Records and covers are graded separately.
M = Mint. In all but the rarest cases, still sealed. If we know that an open record has never been played, and the rating otherwise applies, it will be graded mint.
