Often times eBay sellers get a bad rap when it comes to selling albums. Very few sellers use scales and others may never take the vinyl out it's jacket. Our goal is to be straightforward and truthful with every item we sell. We examine records with bright overhead lighting and observe any issues with a magnifying glass. Only one individual here does our grading as an effort to create a higher level of consistency between our offerings. We also include a rating of the albums sleeve (also known as album cover or jacket) for you as well. Below you will find how each of our records being listed here on eBay is scored:

M: Mint - How you'd expect to see the record brand new on the shelf and then some. We very seldom pull out mint as a describer and if we do - you can rest assured extra time was made in verifying the item is free of flaws.

NM: Near Mint - Collectors grade condition. Very little to no evidence that record was played. Vinyl may show minimal signs of removal buff marks that you'd expect to see for a record that's been carefully handled and only been out of the sleeve a few times.

EX: Excellent - A few small surface marks may exist in the vinyl, but nothing that we would not to hear issues in playback quality. Covers may have slight wear or marks present on corners, but overall a quality piece you will not hesitate to display.

VG+: Very Good Plus - A few surface scratches may be present on vinyl and depending on equipment may experience crackling. Wear on jacket more present with a few flaws such as slight ring wear, bends and creasing, but never the extremes sides of all 3.

VG: Very Good - Vinyl shows scratching that may cause distortion, however nothing extreme that would cause skipping when played through the majority of equipment. Jacket can show a few signs of damage but solid and able to do its job while looking the part from a distance.

G: Good - Multiple deep scratching that will impact your listening experience. Some light warping to vinyl could be present. It's been road hard and enjoyed and can still play without skipping, but it's likely "ticks" and surface noise will be audible during playback.

P: Poor - Possibly crack or heavy deep scratching and of severe warping of the vinyl. The cover may be coming close to it's ripping point.

Example grading score: Ex/VG+ would mean the media (vinyl record) is in excellent condition and sleeve (album cover) is very good plus.

We're very familiar and understand what's needed to successfully ship vinyl records and protect them from damage. We include high quality, thick poly bags with each and every album. Records and sleeves are placed outside the album cover to help prevent the possibilities of scratching that can occur during shipment. All albums are shipped using specialty boxes including extra cardboard spacers designed specifically for this use.
