Grading Scale:
NEAR MINT (NM) Looks like it just came from a retail store and it was opened for the first time. In other words, it is nearly perfect. This is my highest grade.
VERY GOOD PLUS (VG+) Except for a couple minor things, this would be Near Mint. VG+ records may show some slight signs of wear, including light scuffs or very light scratches that do not affect the listening experience. VG+ covers have only minor wear.
VERY GOOD (VG) Many of the imperfections found on a VG+ record/jacket are more obvious or more plentiful on a VG record.
VERY GOOD MINUS (VG-) Again, VG- albums have a few more imperfections than those graded higher. Typically VG- vinyl have widespread surface imperfections but no egregious flaws. Similarly, VG- jackets simply have a large accumulation of minor flaws.
GOOD PLUS (G+) These records and albums typically have something that would be considered a major flaw or imperfection. A large scratch on the vinyl, extensive seam splitting on the jacket, etc. However, these types of flaws/imperfections are not widespread.
GOOD (G) These records/jackets have multiple major flaws or imperfections. Records graded at this condition should still play perfectly well, but surface noise/ticks and pops will be prevalent.
