JOHN FAHEY BLIND JOE DEATH SUPER RARE SECOND PRESS VARIANT 1964.
The first pressing of this album was released in an edition of 100 in 1959 on Takoma Records
The second pressing, with different track listing and some tracks re-recorded, was released in 1964 on Piedmont/Takoma. This is one of those pressings, BUT: Almost all versions of this pressing came with a matte cover and single Berkeley, California address.
This one has a glossy cover and two addresses—one in Berkeley, one in Washington DC ( for Piedmont Records). Not sure if this variant was pressed before or after the common one, but best guess is that it was a smaller, earlier run.
Run-off etching is the same.
Cover is obviously rough. Record is scratchy but sounds great.
