GRADING:
Mint (M) - Absolutely perfect in every way. Never been played, possibly still sealed.
Near Mint (NM or M-) - A nearly perfect record. Record and cover should appear like new.
Very Good Plus (VG+) – Some flaws may
be visible but should not affect play quality. Picture sleeves and LP inner sleeves
may have some slight wear.
Vinyl may have light marks which may cause minor audible defects such as low-level background noise, soft crackle or occasional pops or ticks which do not overwhelm the music. Cover may show wear or minor damage to seams or corners.
Very Good (VG) - Surface noise will be evident upon playing, especially in soft passages and during a song's intro and fade but will not overpower the music otherwise. Groove wear will start to be noticeable, as with light scratches (deep enough to feel with a fingernail) that will affect the sound.
Labels and/or LP covers may be marred by writing or have tape or stickers (or
their residue) attached.
Good (G), Good Plus (G+) - Will play through
without skipping but it will have significant surface noise and scratches and
visible groove wear.
Cover or sleeve will have seam splits, especially at the bottom or on the
spine. Tape, writing, ring wear or other defects will start to overwhelm the object.
Poor (P), Fair (F) - The record is
cracked, badly warped, and won't play through without skipping or repeating. The
LP cover is seam split, crinkled, and written upon.
