The Eagles original Asylum Records studio albums, including each of the chart-topping albums the Rock and Roll Hall of Famers released between 1972 and 1979, is now on 180-gram vinyl in The Studio Albums 1972-1979, a limited-edition, six-LP boxed set.

The Studio Albums 1972-1979 includes each of the six Eagles albums that defined an era. Each LP features replicas of the original album packaging with two special artwork upgrades — the jacket of the debut album, Eagles, will finally be released as the band originally intended, with no glue flaps, so the cover folds out into a poster, as described in 2013's acclaimed documentary History of the EaglesHotel California will include a replica of the poster from the original issue with band photos by Norman Seeff in full color, for the first time. The Studio Albums 1972-1979 is limited to 5,000 copies and comes housed in an individually numbered slipcase with a gold foil stamp of the band's logo.

The Studio Albums 1972-1979 kicks off with the band's eponymous 1972 debut, the first of two Eagles albums produced by Glyn Johns. The disc spawned the hits "Witchy Woman, " "Take It Easy" and "Peaceful Easy Feeling, " and is followed by the band's second album, Desperado, which features the iconic title track and "Tequila Sunrise."

Remembered for the hits "Already Gone" and "Best Of My Love," which was the band s first No. 1 single, 1974's On The Border follows. That album was the precursor to the Eagles first No. 1 album, 1975's Grammy-winning One Of These Nights, featuring the smash hits "Take It To The Limit," the title track, and "Lyin' Eyes."

Additionally, The Studio Albums 1972-1979 includes 1976's Hotel California, the album that immortalized the band with the unforgettable title song as well as the hits "Life In The Fast Lane" and "New Kid In Town." Hotel California was followed up in 1979 by the band's third consecutive No. 1, The Long Run, yet another multi-platinum effort made famous for the title track, plus "I Can t Tell You Why" and the No. 1 hit "Heartache Tonight."
