Out-of-issue for almost a quarter-century, this 45 has a yellow "insert" that's actually printed on the label.
Hey Joe was Jimi's first single issued in the UK. He wanted to put Land Of 1000 Dances on the flip, but manager Chas Chandler convinced him to write an original tune to reap publishing royalties. So he recorded Stone Free for the B-side; it's now recognized as a Hendrix classic.
