Columbia-EMI-pressed Stereo LP SAX 2319, issued 1959,
Earliest UK issue, Blue and Silver label
Walton Belshazzar's Feast & Partita for Orchestra
Played by the Philharmonia Orchestra (with Donald Bell (baritone) conducted by the composer
165g vinyl appears NM, good gloss, flat, with remarkably few signs of use or handling under bright light (sunlight) - really looks unplayed.
Labels NM no spindle trails visible.
Fully play-tested both sides NM. Plays beautifully, stunning EMI early stereo orchestral recording quality, very good quiet surfaces overall (just slight tickiness in first couple of grooves on side 1, as common for vintage vinyl of this date, and a light swish right at end of sdei 2 - only very obvious in the run-out, and I think in the pressing). No wear or distortion.
Condition of first issue front-laminated triple flipback sleeve, is NM All intact, very crisp and clean, good shimmy laminate undamaged, back clean with slight edge browning from age - see photos.
Very early issue "Musical Centres of the World paper poly-lined inner sleeve EX (small seam split)
