Originally released on the 3rd March 1997. By 1997, The Bad Seeds were an
eight man strong operation, and yet they saw fit to release this album full of
extremely intimate, stripped down, confessional music. This edition, personally
approved by Nick Cave, is finally available again on its original format.
The Boatman's Call is the tenth studio album by Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds,
released in 1997. The album, which is entirely piano-based and a departure
from the band's post-punk catalogue, remains one of the most critically acclaimed
releases of Nick Cave's career.  Recording for the album
began in London in mid1996, with the bulk recorded at Sarm West and further
recordings done at Abbey Road Studios. Moving away from full-band arrangements
and character-based narratives, the album's music and lyrics move towards the
more intimate sound of Cave's solo voice accompanied by piano or a few other
instruments. The tempo is also generally slow, reflecting many of the moods of the
songs. Many of the lyrics seem to reflect on Cave's personal relationships
and spiritual yearnings at the time of writing. Includes:

LP PACKAGING
We package our LPs in a thick cardboard LP mailer. 
We ALWAYS take the LP out of the jacket of 2nd hand items to 
avoid any seam splitting that could occur in shipment. 
We put the LP and the jacket in an LP plastic sleeve. 
We do NOT open sealed LPs unless requested. 
We cushion the LP in bubble wrap and use shipping tape 
on all spines to protect the integrity of the box, and to 
insure the safety of the contents. All this is included in

the low shipping price. We will clean your purchase on our 
VPI machine if and when necessary. This insures that 
you receive your item in the best possible condition.

 LP SHIPPING
We offer the US Postal Service’s Media Mail and / or Priority 
for shipping in the U.S. Buyer’s choice. The buyer pays the shipping, 
packing (see above) and handling charges. Tracking is included 
with both. We occasionally run domestic shipping specials.
