LP: Side 1, song 1 has a scratch deep enough that it causes some minor popping during part of the song, but record plays through fine without skipping, rest of the record has some surface noise but sounds good. (VG)

One Nation Under a Groove was Funkadelic's most commercially successful album, reaching number 16 on the Billboard 200 and being certified platinum in the US, and was one of the band's most critically lauded albums. It is also regarded by many as the greatest funk album of all time and ranks at or near the top of many "best album" lists in disparate genres. The album was later featured on Vibe magazine's 100 Essential Albums of the 20th Century list. The album is ranked number 177 on Rolling Stone magazine's list of the 500 greatest albums of all time in both 2003 and 2012 editions, before moving to number 360 in the 2020 edition. The album is listed as one of the 1001 Albums You Must Hear Before You Die.
