Led Zeppelin II Original SD 8236 pressing RL Robert Ludwig on both sides VG+. While I would love to hold onto this "rarer than a hens tooth" album, it is time to pass it on to it's next appreciator.  If you are looking at this album, you clearly know what you are looking at.  It is incredibly hard to find this album in good shape as it is just the first phase of the 1st pressing that was mastered by none other than Robert Ludwig!

You'll see in pic #2 of the RL code in the dead wax that it is marked SS.  To my knowledge, this is the hottest of the hot mixes.  By many critics, these are the best of the Ludwig's!

Both sides are RL initialed as pictured, some of these are only RL on one side, believe it or not.  I can honestly say that the first time I listened to this album, I was blown away because it sounds so in your face compared to their other and regular copies of this album.  It is SOOOOO good.

The jacket is in incredible condition with extremely minimal wear.  It does not include the original inner sleeve as a new paper sleeve is a much better choice to keep this safe from Amy possible scuffing that could occur in it's original sleeve.  The vinyl is easily in overall VG+ condition. It has minor hairlines on both sides that are audible from time to time.  Side 1 has minor crackle that comes and goes not scratched with a minor scuff that occured prior to my ownership that appears to have been from the old original inner sleeve.  Side 2 has a minor wear mark, but it doesn't effect play and is not specifically audible.  It plays STRONG and clear with no skips or stutters.  The crackle and surface noise could possibly easily be remedied by a high quality cleaning, but I don't have access to this, so I truly can't promise it...or I would do it myself and charge more!

So, in short, it's not perfect with zero surface noise, but those copies easily go for over 1k because they are that rare.  This is a great substitute and save some cash!
