Having been raised in the Tulsa, Oklahoma area during the time this album was compiled and recorded by Shelter Records, I can tell you that this album was a staple in most everyone’s record collection in this area. I believe this particular version, which is in pristine and beautiful condition, is one of the earliest and most highly sought-after versions recorded.

“The self-titled 1972 album, produced by Leon Russell and released on Russell's label Shelter, is considered the holy grail of songwriting. Artists such as Lyle Lovett, who has long praised Ramsey, still names the record as one of his greatest inspirations.
