JOHNNY GRIFFIN: Way Out US OG Riverside Jazz LP DG Kenny Drew Vinyl LP Hear From the collection of Harold L. Keith, seen above playing chess with Dizzy Gillespie (1958, © Carnegie Museum of Art) Powered by eCommercePlayer.com
Griffin
VG+ laminate cover, tough to imagine much cleaner of a copy. There’s some very light rubs to rear, clean legible spine, No rips, no tears, nor splits.
Superb.
Deep Groove, Big Label Riverside. Original Pressing.
Top of grade, VG+ disc. There’s some spindle wear on Side 2, both sides are very close to the grade above. Near perfect with only a couple very faint sleeve type marks. Plays superb. Hear opening track above.
Actual photos, not a stock image.
About This Collection:
From the collection of Harold L. Keith, writer and editor for the Pittsburgh Courier. Harold Keith wrote about jazz music, African politics, and the civil rights movement.
In 1958, he became editor of the newspaper, a position he held until 1963. Keith subsequently entered government service and worked for the Agency for International Development, the Bureau for African Affairs, and the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development.
This record was preserved by Mr. Keith's family, and is a beautiful example of this recording.
