Silversun Pickups - Carnavas 2LP, New!.

Sometimes I resell records and make a couple dollars, but more than anything, this is a passion and hobby of mine. 95% of the records I sell, I own in my own collection and listen to. Feel free to ask questions. I package all records the same (no matter the sell price), using double cardboard and a bit of tape. As much as I sell, I buy for myself and as such, ship in a way I would want to receive my packages. Nothing better than record in the mail day!

Note: for those that are new to this hobby, it is extremely fun and exciting, but with everything, theres going to be ups and downs. Records can be temperamental at times and some depending on the quality of pressing can be worse than others; this does not mean a record is no good, but that it will take a little more work from the owner to get it up and running to its full potential. Some things to do or think about if you feel your sound is off or the record doesn't play right, I would check/do the following:

1.  Give the record a nice clean. ONLY use a soft cloth like a micro fiber cloth that has not been used for anything else. Distilled water can be used, but please please please, no chemicals unless specifically made for records. Naturally in the record making process, a record can get dirty or dusty while being packaged or made in the wherehouse. This will affect playback. While playing, your needle is in the smallest of grooves and dust can be it's worse enemy.

2. Check the turntable. Is your anti-skate, counterweight and turntable set up correctly (if not direct drive, what condition is the belt it)?

3. Check your needle. Is it damaged, past its operating life or not aligned/setup correctly? Quality of the needle amd cartridge does matter.

4. Vibrations. What is the turntable sitting on? What kind of floor? Where are the speakers located in relation to turntable? There are many ways to dampen the turntable or items around it.

5. Speakers. I know I already mentioned them, but they really should be on their own structure not connected to the turntable.

There are tons of variables which is a love and hate. Have fun with it, enjoy the ride and everytime you throw a record on, enjoy the experience!
