Ultra rare original 1st UK pressing of the genre spawning classic debut album by Black Sabbath.
Very hard to find original 1st pressing with “A Phillips Record Product” text at 6 o’clock on B Side Label.
Matrix numbers are:
Side 1 - V0 6 1Y * 1 420 12 8
Side 2 - V0 6 2Y * 1 420 12 3
Vinyl is EX+ grade overall. Vinyl appears glossy and shiny. Spindle hole is in great condition and this has been very lightly played only. It does has fine hairline sleeve removal marks when viewed under strong light. No other marks or scratches. It is fully play tested and plays perfectly with no noticeable deterioration in at all. There was no obvious crackle or distortion anyway on the record that I could discern, including perfectly quiet run ins and spaces between tracks. Absolutely no pops, clicks or any other defects. SUPERB playing copy. Visually grades EX but plays EX+ to NM.
The original matt gatefold sleeve has light edge and corner wear as shown in the photos. No rips, tears or writing. Has the misspelled “Ossie” on inside of gatefold. VG+ overall grade.
Comes complete with original Vertigo “swirl” inner bag which has some handling wear/discolouration, etc (see photos) VG+
I’ve included a brand new poly lined inner too!
Overall this is a really superb original 1st press playing copy in a fairly tidy original sleeve.
