I'm NOT a professional record grader, but I obviously DO see a 'range of conditions' here.
Many are book-style LPs, aka "GATEFOLDS" ~ We tossed out several albums, not because of skips or scratches, but due mostly to the cardboard covers being a little damaged or worn (or split open at top or bottom). ~ See below MY range of how clean, shiny, worn or scuffed they appear. A store or 'dealer' would use their own scale. (If time permits I will add some notes, and I WILL DO A closer inspection of a particular record IF YOU REQUEST via a question.)
______ ______ Need GRADING? ....no problem! Please send Request(s) ______ ______
NM: Of course, it's a nearly-new grade. Has no visible wear, but it's still a used item.
EX: Disc shows some use, and/or there might be obvious wear on cover; LP still very shiny.
VG+: Minor to moderate wear, which could mean surface noise in the background.
VG: Still okay but has obvious wear. Dull looking, may have minor scuff or scratch. Likely has surface noise.
G+: Has moderate to heavy wear, but still good for good music listening... at a LOUD gathering or Party?
