From 1984, written by Michael Jackson and Lionel Richie, this item is U.S.A. for Africa's (The "USA" stands for "United Support of Artists", and was a collection of 46 major artists formed to "aid the millions of suffering people of Africa and the USA" at that time. See below for the names of those artists included in this group), #1 BILLBOARD TOP 40 hit, which reached the #1 position (remaining there for 4 weeks!) in March of 1985 -- "We Are The World / Grace (by Quincy Jones)", Columbia US7-04839, 7", 45 RPM in a Picture Sleeve.
Old store stock copy. The record itself is in a beautiful NEAR MINT~UNPLAYED condition with its original shiny, mirror-like playing surface. The labels are in MINT condition. The Picture Sleeve is in an extremely nice NEAR MINT condition with absolutely no visible wear. The Picture Sleeve is nice and flat with absolutely no tears, writing, creases, stickers, stamps, staple holes or seam splits. See my "About Me" page for my grading scale. The artists featured in this group include:
Dan Aykroyd, Harry Belafonte, Lindsey Buckingham, Kim Carnes
Ray Charles, Bob Dylan, Sheila E., Bob Geldof
Hall & Oates, James Ingram, Jackie Jackson, LaToya Jackson
Marlon Jackson, Michael Jackson, Randy Jackson, Tito Jackson
Al Jarreau, Waylon Jennings, Billy Joel, Cyndi Lauper
Huey Lewis & The News, Kenny Loggins, Bette Midler, Willie Nelson
Jeffrey Osborne, Steve Perry, The Pointer Sisters, Lionel Richie
Smokey Robinson, Kenny Rogers, Diana Ross, Paul Simon
Bruce Springsteen, Tina Turner, Dionne Warwick, Stevie Wonder
and conducted by Quincy Jones
ALL my 45 RPM's and Picture Sleeves are housed in their own individual 7" protective plastic sleeves. In the case of a 45 RPM having a Picture Sleeve the 45 RPM is housed in a 7" white paper sleeve. My 45 RPM's have been kept separate from their Picture Sleeves since I purchased them. Also, in most cases where there is not a Picture Sleeve, my 45 RPM's are housed in their original company paper sleeve. I hope that the pictures will show how nice this very collectible USA FOR AFRICA 45 RPM and PS really is! If you have any questions, please email me. At this price and in this condition, it really is a HARD-TO-FIND item!
