I am selling a 350+ album collection for a college classmate who is terminally ill. He collected over many years in 60's to 70's. All proceeds to a scholarship fund at Bowdoin College established by another college classmate. The endowed fund is for inclusiveness and diversity.
This album is a very rare 1971 Netherlands production with the "Basementsingers" (which include: Bob Dylan, Garth Hudson, Jaime Robertson, Levon Helm, Richard Manuel and RIck Danko) made this recording for Peace Records. The Basement Singers is an alias of the group better known as "The Band" (see last scan). Generally, all of the songs on the album were compositions by Bob Dylan, alone or with collaboration. The album cover is very thin cardboard and very inconspicuous with its black and white plain cover. The owner printed his name on the back of the cover. There is some wear on the cover including a small water stain. There is NO WRITING ON THE RECORD.
Record is in near VG+ condition, with only a few scuffs (probably not played very much. It plays very well, no problems, all the way through. The record itself is quite a bit heavier than a normal vinyl record. Cover is in GD condition (see scans) showing very little handling and not much of anything else, although there is some rim wear and a small water stain in lower right corner. Owner wrote last name on back of cover (no writing on record. The generic inside paper record sleeve is in VG condition.
