Condition:  Used, pre-owned music album, 33rpm, LP vinyl record.
Grading:  We are not known for selling vinyl records on Ebay, we mostly have train and bus items. We may not grade on expert level like Goldmine standards and like many music stores on Ebay do.

Vinyl record: There is no actual vinyl here...only the album cover is being sold in this auction.
Album details:   Front cover is clean. No major rips or ring wear or smudges.
Back cover:  very clean, no writing, rips or smudges.
There are no split seams ripping open on any edges and no taped up areas and no writing on any side.
Based on that, we would say this is good condition related to the entire cover.
Please rely on the photos to determine the quality level of the album prior to any bids.

Description:  Original vinyl album release by a rap music singing group called "Artifacts". The vinyl record is NOT here, we are only auctioning the album cover and the two rollsign pieces. What makes this album very unique is the way a New York City subway station and subway car are used on the front of the album.  On the front, the name of the group is done in graphic design lettering graffiti style over a photo of a real in service #1 train car # 9533, most likely at 125st station in Harlem. Maybe they took the #1 line a lot and wanted to use something subway related since the name of the single they are promoting is called "Wrong side of da tracks". Whatever the reason was, not many album covers show good artwork and something NY subway related.

This is not a CD copy, only the original release album cover how it was released in 1994. If you want to the music, you have to shop elsewhere on Ebay to get the vinyl.
If you like old subway history and/or graffiti things from the 1970's or 1980's, this maybe something you would like for your collection.
Artist: Artifacts Title: Wrong side of Da tracks Label:  Big Beat records -distributed by Atlantic Records Release year:  1994
Plus you also are bidding on the two IRT rollsign strips cut from old cloth side destination rollsigns now no longer used for many years.   These cut up rollsign strips are most likely from the 1940's or 1950's. You can add some more authentic IRT related train items to your collection at the same time.
The rollsign sections here are for stations still used on the #1 subway line now in 2021.
137st- Broadway  ( where City College is located ) Dyckman St.
Included in this auction:  Besides the album cover, rollsign strips, you get a subway brochure for the #1 and #9 lines, the #9 ran on the same area of the #1 line but was a skip stop service. The brochure is from Dec.1994, the same year the rap album was released.
You are bidding on all these in one lot, not one a time or less than 4 things total.

If you like more 1970's related subway photos like this on IRT lines and other letter lines, we suggest you check out the "Making All Stops" subway photo book series.  The webpage is the same name as the title.  It's hardcore NY train history and would be a good item for your reading collection.
