Description

A boxed set of 24, 45 rpm 7 inch, singles from The Beatles.

This is a collection of the single releases from the the band from 1962's 'Love Me Do' to 'Back In The USSR' in 1970.

Released in the autumn of 1977 on EMI’s mail order subsidiary, World Records. Available by mail order only, and not through the usual retail outlets. The 24 singles were in the same green sleeves as the March 1976 re-releases, and packaged in a special, gold embossed box. The sleeves have a reproduction of a single's centre with both 'A' and 'B' sides listed on the front, the rear has a colour photo of the band.
The Beatles Collection does not have a special catalogue number, and was deleted from the World Records catalogue in 1981.

All songs are written by Lennon & McCartney, apart from 'Please Please Me' / 'Ask Me Why', 'From Me To You' / 'thank You Girl' by McCartney & Lennon (sic) - 'The Inner Light', 'Old Brown Shoe' and 'Something' by George Harrison -  'Twist And Shout' by Phil Medley and Bert Russell.

Condition

The vinyl  looks VG+. 

All singles play well with just the occasional faint pop, and there are no obvious scratches. 

All sleeves are VG, with just a bit of very minor edge wear. 

The box is worn, and is missing its hinged lid. 

The collection originally came with an insert, with notes and a listing of the singles. This is missing
