Record Grading Scale:
Near Mint (NM): A nearly perfect record. The record has more than likely never been played, and the vinyl will play perfectly, with no imperfections during playback.
Excellent (EX): Record's condition is very close to Near Mint. The record has a few very minor cosmetic imperfections that will not affect playback.
Very Good Plus (VG+): Record will show some signs that it was played and handled by a previous owner who took good care of it. Defects are more of a cosmetic nature, not affecting the actual playback. Record surfaces show some signs of wear and may have slight scuffs, very light scratches, or mild discoloration.
Very Good (VG): Many of the defects found in a VG+ record will be more pronounced in a VG disc. Sections of the record may produce faint surface noise, but it will not overpower the music. There may be some slight groove wear and very light scratches that mildly affect playback.
I do not sell records graded lower than "Very Good" unless they are rare. In these cases, I document the record condition to the best of my ability. The majority of records I sell have their original inner sleeve, but some come with a generic inner sleeve.
