Up for auction is my copy of Bill Callahan's "Apocalypse" LP from Drag City records. I am the only owner of this record and I bought it when it came out in 2011. I played it once or twice and then put it in storage.
The vinyl is in EX- condition as there is the *lightest* sleeve scuff on side A. I had to look very carefully at an angle with the light just right to even see it. You cannot see it looking at the vinyl directly. It will not influence playback. The sleeve is still in shrink and there is no damage to report (EX+). If you have questions or would like more photos, reach out to let me know.
"The richness, as I hear it, is that the line describes how elusive-- and maybe even impossible-- honesty is. I don't have a clear idea of what "riding for the feeling is," but I wonder if that's the point: it's a journey toward something vague and variable. It's about the distance between how simple things feel when you experience them and how cluttered and gummed-up they come out sounding in song or verse. It's about the distance between something like Eagle's "Jim Cain" and "America!": The healthy-looking guy standing in a field telling you in past tense about his heartbreak and the one barking at you live and uncut from an Australian hotel room. One sounds too close to their feelings to make sense of them, the other sounds too far away to embody them. Which is more honest?" -Pitchfork
Be sure to check out my other listings and follow me as I will be posting more INDIE ROCK, ALTERNATIVE, EXPERIMENTAL, ELECTRONIC music all on vinyl in the coming days. Happy bidding! I am not a professional seller, just a long-time collector who has decided to sell them all off.
**I will ship the item wrapped in bubble wrap in a cardboard LP mailer. Unless you specifically contact me to request otherwise, I will ship with the disc outside of the main jacket to protect the seams from damage in transit. I do not currently have access to a turntable, so I must visually grade my records. If you have any questions or would like to see more photos, reach out. I am not a professional seller, just a longtime collector who has decided to sell them all off.**
