Godflesh: Godflesh EP, Vinyl, Swordfish Records 1988
Godflesh is the debut EP by English industrial metal band Godflesh. It was originally released in 1988 through Swordfish Records and later saw several reissues on Earache Records with two additional songs. An unexpected underground success.
Godflesh are an English industrial metal band from Birmingham. The group formed in 1982 under the original title O.P.D. (later Fall of Because) but did not release any complete music until 1988 when Justin Broadrick (guitar, vocals and programming) and B. C. Green (bass) renamed the band and decided to use a drum machine for percussion. Melding heavy metal with industrial music and later with electronic music and dub, Godflesh's sound is widely regarded as a foundational influence on other industrial metal and post-metal acts and as significant to both experimental and extreme metal.
Drawing inspiration from early industrial and noise groups such as Throbbing Gristle and Whitehouse, as well as from ambient musician Brian Eno, noise, post-punk innovators Killing Joke, heavy metal and a wide range of late eighties east coast hip hop artists.
For channelling his trauma, eclectic taste and childhood surroundings into Godflesh, Broadrick has created the ugliest of boundary-smashing music.

It has been kept in storage in a smoke free household. It is from a large and varied record collection, not a DJ collection. This record has never been DJed and is in good condition.
The record sleeve shows slight foxing from being in storage. Also there is some wear to the spine of the paper record sleeve.
On Side A, everything is an avalanche master song.
Flip it over and there are crackles in the run in groove before the first track starts. Then there are wee crackles between tracks 1 and 2.  The rest is nerveshatter.
