Superb sounding original 1st UK pressing of The Kinks debut LP “Kinks” on pink PYE labels

Matrix numbers:

Side 1: NN 1096–A1T KT

Side 2: NN 1096–B2T KT

The vinyl visually grades as G/G+ with lots of light scratches and scuffs. However it actually plays pretty well overall. There is noticeable crackle in the spaces between tracks and some of the quieter sections but genuinely isn’t noticeable over the music through 95% of the record. A testament to these old thick mono pressings. Play grade is VG. Overall grade is VG-. No pops, clicks, sticks or jumps.

The sleeve is G+ with lots of laminate creases and top and bottom edges are both taped with sellotape. Top looks to be split right across under the tape. Name written on rear and age related discolouration on the rear.

It doesn’t have the original advertising inner but I will include a brand new poly lined inner.

Overall it looks pretty rough but is quite a nice sounding original 1st UK mono pressing except for the crackle between tracks.
