A nice lot of 36 original Pre-War Jazz/Blues/R&B 78 rpm records. They are in good to very good (G to VG) overall condition with mainly normal, general sings of handling and play from over the years. Any with more noteworthy flaws are detailed below. Some might benefit from a gentle cleaning. Shipping is to U.S. LOCATIONS ONLY. Included are:
The Andrews Sisters on Decca, light pen writing on both labels
Louis Armstrong And The Mills Brothers on Decca
Bix Beiderbecke And His Gang on Columbia
Cab Calloway And His Cotton Club Orchestra on Bluebird
The King Cole Trio on Capitol
Count Basie on Decca
Count Basie on Okeh, four different records
Count Basie on Columbia, two different records
Duke Ellington on Brunswick
Duke Ellington on Columbia
Teddy Grace on Decca
Fletcher Henderson on Vocalion
Louis Jordan And His Tympany Five on Decca, two different records. "Caldonia" side has a small edge chip that does not affect the playing surface.
Henry King on Columbia, pressed on blue wax!! As shown in the photos, record has a small edge pressing flaw that does not affect play at all on either side.
Jimmie Lunceford on Bluebird, small sticker on the a-side label
Nellie Lutcher on Capitol Americana, two different records
Ray Miller Melody King And His Black And White Melody Boys on Okeh
New Orleans Rhythm Kings on Decca
Don Redman on Vocalion
Boyd Senter on Okeh
Mugsy Spanier And His Ragtimers on Decca
Slam Stewart Quartet on Savoy
Joe Turner And Pete Johnson on Vocalion. Very clean record but, as shown in the photos, it does have an edge chip that just barely touches the first couple grooves on each side; however, both sides play through fine as long as it is cued properly...
Rudy Vallee And His Connecticut Yankees on Victor
"Fats" Waller on Victor
Sylvester Weaver on Okeh. Very nice shape but, as shown in the photos, there are noticeable ripples/divots in the playing surfaces of both sides. However, I played both sides of the record in their entirety on and there was little to no audible effect on the sound quality of either side. Depending on what type of setup you use, you may or may not get the same results...
Paul Whiteman on Columbia, two different "potato head" label records. Both are a bit worn but should still be decent players...
Paul Whiteman's Rhythm Boys on Columbia, record has a small edge chip that does not touch the playing surface of either side.
Teddy Wilson on Columbia
