After a number of years enjoying this on display in my study, I have decided to pass this extremely rare record on to a serious collector.  This item is the 1967 lp, "It's Time for the Percussions" on Allendale Records (Memphis).  The album cover is signed by all four members, Maggie Lee Stout (1941-2021), husband Joe "Willie" Stout (1942-2016), James "Poly" Stanfill (1946-2016), and the last surviving member, Maggie's brother Pete Tate.  They were from the Union City, Tennessee (Midway Community), Greenfield, and Bradford, Tennessee area.  Maggie and Joe also owned and operated a club in Martin, Tennessee for many years.  Joe and I talked about this album after I first acquired it many years ago.  He told me only 500 copies were produced and they quickly sold out at their next public appearances.  He and Maggie didn't even own a copy.  In researching the value, I was able to determine an unsigned copy sold at auction a few years ago for $520.  This autographed copy might possibly be the only one in existence.  The cover has some wear (see photos) but the disc is in very nice condition.  I've played it a few times through the years and it sounds fine.  Don't miss this great piece of local interest history and check my other listings for records of local bands/groups from Northwest Tennessee and Southwest Kentucky!  Thanks for looking!
