Texas Bill Strength and His Saddle Pals 12” Metal acetate 78 Shall We Gather At The River b/w We Will Overcome WGST Atlanta 920 on your dial radio station demo acetate label. Two beautiful unissued sides We Will Overcome was the signature song used by Martin Luther King over a dozen years later in the civil rights movement and it’s unusual that this was recorded by a white artist.
This acetate was found in 4 Star warehouse There are no numbers on the acetate or old sleeve. It has writing “Master” on the old sleeve. The acetate is in VG+++/Mint- condition. It must have stood in 4 Star studio warehouse untouched and unplayed for over 70 years. Very rare, probably one of a kind rarity!!!
