Queen - A Kind Of Magic (Extended Version) 1986 US Sealed 12” Vinyl Single b/w (backed with) Gimme The Prize (Kurgan’s Theme) on Side B written by Brian May. A Kind Of Magic was written by the band's drummer, Roger Taylor, for the film Highlander and was featured as the ending theme. The single peaked at #42 on the US Billboard Hot 100 Singles Chart and reached #6 in the German Singles Chart, #5 on the French Singles Chart, #4 in Dutch, Irish (IRMA) and Swiss Singles Charts, #1 in Argentina (CAPIF) and #3 in the UK Singles Chart then has been Certified Platinum in the UK by BPI (British Phonographic Industry). It re-charted in 2013 and went to #32 in Slovenia (SloTop50) and #87 in Poland (Polish Airplay Top 100) in 2022. Recorded at Sarm West and Townhouse Studios London.
