- A stereo, 33 1/3 rpm, vinyl LP picture disc, "Peace Sells... But Who's Buying?" by Megadeth
- Released in 1986 on Capital Records.
- Recorded at Grinder, Track Record, Rock Steady and Maddog studios, Los Angeles in February and March, 1986 and released in September of the same year.
- This is Megadeth's second studio album.
- Produced by Dave Mustaine and Randy Burns, engineered by Casey McMackin and Randy Burns and mixed by Paul Lani
- All songs were written by Dave Mustaine and arranged by Megadeth, except for I Ain't Superstitious, by Willie Dixon
- The musicians are Dave Mustaine, vocals, lead and rhythm guitars; David Ellefson, bass and backing vocals; Chris Poland, lead and rhythm guitars; Gar Samuelson, drums.(Randy Burns, Casey McMackin, Mike Anderson and Paul Sudin provided additional vocals)
- The picture disk features the same full colour art work as on the album cover, with 'Vic Rattlehead' on side 1 and individual photos of the band against an apocalyptic background on side 2. Side 2 also has a full track listing and production credits etc.

- Comes with a card insert with full lyrics on one side and instrument details, thanks and dedications and representation details etc. on the other.

- The vinyl is VG+ with no noticeable scratches or marks. Plays well with just some faint surface noise audible in the quiet bits (!).
- The insert is G+ with no marks or damage and just some light creasing
- The plastic sleeve has a couple of sizeable slits but still affords good protection.
