A very clean and very rare UK first pressing of Led Zeppelin's self-titled debut album, with the earliest cover with turquoise lettering and a  grey stripe across the bottom, uncorrected matrixes and Superhype/Jewel publishing credits.

The earliest pressings of Led Zeppelin's 1969 debut were mistakenly printed with turquoise lettering on the front cover, instead of the familiar orange type.  These were quickly replaced with the intended color scheme, with the grey line also removed, the disc's matrix numbers corrected, and the publishing credits changed.

Original pressings have become highly sought after, and this is a superb example.  The disc grades Near Mint and plays Mint to Near Mint throughout.  The fully laminated sleeve grades Near Mint minus to EX++, with a small crease to the top left corner, and some lamination lifting  to the back and front along the spine edge.  The matrix numbers are 588171 A//1 and 588171 B//1.  With the original lined innersleeve.

A scarce and highly sought after album.

We grade all records visually, cover first, then disc; using the abbreviations M / NM / EX / VG with + and -. We try to describe everything as accurately as possible, and spot check any vinyl flaw that looks like it might make a sound. We regularly receive praise for our grading, but as all grading is subjective, we are happy to give a full refund for anything you aren't happy with no questions asked.

Unlike some eBay sellers, we don't feel the need to hype records by including long reviews or albums, quoting lyrics, making up arcane variations. We just grade accurately, describe any flaw, and sell only high quality rare records in fine condition.
