Miles Davis - Kind Of Blue - 12" Vinyl LP - Fontana TFL5072 - UK - Mono - 1960

This is a UK 1st addition.

However, from Discogs identifiers it appears to be a crossover between the 1st &2nd pressing as there are identifiers from both.

Label 1st press identifiers: 

33 1/3 r.p.m instead of 33 1/3

AA appears before 682 059

Perimeter text ends with  "MADE IN ENGLAND"

Embossed  E/T tax code by spindle on side A and an embossed triangle by the spindle on side B ( meaning release between April8 1959 and July31 1960)

KIND OF BLUE written below the spindle

However "Side 1"& "Side 2" are on the label, which was a 2nd press identifier

Sleeve Identifiers

On the back "KIND OF BLUE MILES DAVIS" and the catalogue number "TFL5072" are on the back by the spine which is on both the 1st & 2nd press but " PRODUCT OF PHILIPS" bottom left and "Printed and made in Great Britain" with the Howards logo are missing indicating a 2nd press.

Make of that what you will. It is easy to get carried away with these little pointers.

Maybe someone out there can pinpoint this more precisely? 

The vinyl has some light scuffs that do not register when played. There are no clicks or sticks but there is some crackle noticable in quiet passages VG

The sleeve front has lost some laminate at the leading edge and the back is a bit grubby. There is some damage to the spine and bottom edge with a 40mm split at the bottom entry. But for it's age I think it is a VG

The labels are clean and in good condition VG+
