♦ As Brave Belt ♦
I'm offering the album titled "As Brave Belt" by Bachman Turner & Bachman. Also titled "Brave Belt II". Released in 1974 by Warner Bros. Reprise Records. In stereo. Catalog #MS 2210. Length: 11 rock songs similar to that of The Guess Who from which they came. I've owned this since it came out and have not played it. Condition is good, no skips, scratches, or pops. I worked in the entertainment business here in Hollywood and got a lot of records for free. Sometimes duplicates. Jacket is still in its factory plastic wrap opened at one edge and in good condition. Sleeve inside is in likewise condition.Included are a B&W publicity photo printed on an 8½"x11" sheet of paper (not glossy) and a bio. These are free - NOT part of the listing price. My feeling is that it would have been thoughtful of the studios to have accompanied all album sales back in the day with these for fans to better know the musicians whom they just forked over their wages to. Brave Belt was a Canadian rock band from Winnipeg, Manitoba originally consisting of Randy Bachman (guitar/vocals), his former Guess Who bandmate, Chad Allan (vocals/keyboards), and Randy's brother Robbie (drums). C. F. "Fred" Turner was added shortly after as bassist for the supporting concerts. In 1972, Turner became the lead vocalist for the "Brave Belt II" album. Allan left the band after the recording was completed. "Brave Belt II" sold poorly and the band struggled to book live shows. Although dropped from the Reprise label, the "Brave Belt II" lineup (Turner with Randy, brother Tim Bachman, and Robbie Bachman) recorded and shopped around a demo that was supposed to be a "Brave Belt III" album. New management convinced them to change their name - they eventually settled on Bachman–Turner Overdrive. Robbie Bachman, died on January 12, 2023 at the age of 69. Tim Bachman passed away April 28, 2023 at the age of 71 after battling cancer. ©Wikipedia Someone has uploaded "Dunrobin's Gone" from side 1 to YouTube if you want to give it a listen before purchasing.I accept
This record in its jacket weighs 8 ounces and will be wrapped in plastic, sealed, and placed between two thick, sturdy sheets of corrugated cardboard. On the outside I'll boldly write: HANDLE WITH CARE and KEEP OUT OF SUN. This brings the weight to 1 pound.
