"Beethoven: The Nine Symphonies; Philadelphia Orchestra, Ormandy" (Columbia D7L 345, U.S. pressing, Stereo, ca.1966)
Seven stereo LPs, boxed with booklet. Stampers: 1G, 1C, 1E, 1B, 1F, 1D, 1E, 1F, 1B, 1B, 2B, 1D, 1D, 1C. The LPs are a very strong EX, the booklet an EX, the box is VG+. The records are very clean and bright: some light shadowing caught on S9, a small mark to S12, nothing else. The playback is very strong with a quite tolerable undercurrent of surfact static. The labels are very clean and bright: two spots of flaking to S6. The inner-sleeves are clean original title paper with poly inners. The booklet is clean and undamaged. The box is sturdy and solid with mild bumps to the two left-hand corners, and a bit of darkening around the edges; the rear panel sheet was either originally misglued or subsequently reglued and is darkened where excess accumulated (see image).
