Four LPs with booklet in original box. Herbert Von Karajan's early years as a conductor with the Vienna Philharmonic. Recordings of Beethoven, the Strausses (Joseph, Johann, Richard, Brahms, Mozart and Reznicek from the late 1940s and early 1950s. Issued here as one of three boxed sets marking Karajan's 75th birthday. Grade: Ex/Ex. Notes: very clean records with no scratches or scuff; playback encountered some light surface noise at times, assumed to be from the original recordings, but no real intereference with the music; some light wear at the spindle holes, nothing worse (see images); clean booklet; very clean, bright and solid box.
