Johnny O’Keefe 20th Anniversary Album (Australian 31 track 12” vinyl Double LP issued thru Festival Records 1972 L 45137) Festival’s recognition of the achievements of O’Keefe during his first twenty years in show business. O’Keefe became a prolific and successful recording artist, and Australia’s first rock ‘n’ roll star. Full of energy, confidence and ambition, he was a dynamic live performer with a raw voice and an exuberant stage presence that earned him the nickname ‘the wild one’ His greatest legacy was as a performer and recording artist. The "20TH Anniversary Album” represents JOK’s broad range of styles and a good range of years in terms of releases. It includes J.O’K’s first recording, ‘(You Hit The Wrong Note) Billy Goat (recorded 1957 on Festival – FS 1502), through to his 1971 release of “Keep On Smiling” (Festival – FK 4482). Housed in gatefold picture sleeve in excellent condition. Both vinyl LPs are in excellent condition
