BLITZKRIEG - 10 YEARS OF BLITZKRIEG VINYL MINI LP RARE 1991 ORIG EX

Blitzkrieg were formed in 1980 in Leicester, England.  Their first demo recorded the same year secured them a record deal with Neat Records resulting in the famous Blitzkrieg/Buried Alive single and a track on the Lead Weight compilation album.  The band gigged extensively but then split in 1981.  Recognized as part of the New Wave of British Heavy Metal (NWOBHM), Metallica also acknowledge Blitzkrieg as an early influence and covered the bands self titled song Blitzkrieg on their Creeping Death and Garage Inc EP's.

This original release, celebrating the bands tenth anniversary, features two re-recorded songs from 1981 (Blitzkrieg and Buried Alive) and three songs from 1991.
