BEATLES UK – A Hard Days Night & Sgt Pepper, original LPs.

A Hard Days Night - 1964 PMC 1230 – original UK yellow and black Parlophone label.

A UK Mono album in original condition.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in good++ condition, the front of the sleeve is laminated. The spine is in very good++ condition and has remained clean and white in colour, all the text on the spine is clear to read. The sleeve features the period tri flipback design to the rear. For its age the rear of the sleeve has remained an excellent fresh white in colour. Theres NO pen writing, stains, bad splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some wear to the front opening edge and three sellotape repairs.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in near excellent condition and is the original period EMI ‘Use Emitex’ sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears or stains on it. Theres a slight sign of some edge splitting to the bottom edge.

THE VINYL: is in excellent condition. The vinyl is made of the period ‘thick, heavy’ vinyl. It has remained very dark and glossy and doesn’t look as if its been played much at all.

The matrix nos. are:  XEX 481 – 3N   and   XEX 482 – 3N,  

THE AUDIO: is excellent, it plays with nice quiet grooves. It plays with a full clear powerful mono sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: side one is in excellent+ condition, side two is in excellent condition. The text around the labels rim begins with ‘The Parlophone’ etc. There are the letters ‘KT’ embossed around the spindle hole on side two. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

A UK first issue stereo copy, featuring:

1. the main sleeve features virtually no angle of cut to the original flipback ends, see photo,

2. the record has very early mother / stampers, being: ‘1 GAR’ and ‘1 GRA’.

CONDITION:

THE MAIN SLEEVE: is in excellent condition (apart from a small  ‘nick’ to one side of the opening edge). The sleeve is fully laminated, this laminate is relatively un scuffed. The colours of the sleeve are full and fresh and have not faded in anyway. The spine is in excellent+ condition, it has remained an excellent fresh white and all the text on the spine is clear to read. When the gatefold sleeve is opened the two original top flipbacks can be seen. There are NO stains, splits, pen writing, tears, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. As mentioned to the rear, lower opening edge there is a small ‘nick’, but it doesn’t show much.

THE INSERT: the green card insert is not present.

THE INNER SLEEVE: is in very good+ condition and is a plain white sleeve. Theres NO pen writing, tears, splits, stickers or sticker residue on the sleeve. There is some age related discolouring.

THE VINYL: is in very good+ condition. The vinyl is made from the period thick, heavy vinyl.

The matrix are:  YEX 637 - 1  and  YEX  638 - 1,

THE AUDIO: is near excellent, it plays with some light crackle and some light ‘ticks’ to be heard here and there. The record plays with an excellent clean loud stereo sound. The record lays flat on the turntable.

THE LABELS: are in very good+ condition, the text around the label rim begins with ‘The Gramophone’ etc. The labels are free from any pen writing, stickers or sticker residue.

PACKING  -  ALL RECORDS ARE POSTED WITH MULTI LAYERED CARD STIFFENERS FOR PROTECTION.BEFORE POSTING, THE RECORD IS REMOVED FROM THE RECORDS ORIGINAL INNER AND OUTER SLEEVES, THE RECORD IS THEN PUT INTO A SECOND PAPER INNER SLEEVE TO MINIMISE ANY DAMAGE THAT MAY OCCUR WHILE IN TRANSIT. THE RECORD / SLEEVES ARE THEN PUT INTO A NEW PLASTIC SLEEVE FOR FURTHER PROTECTION.
