EXTREMELY RARE GRATEFUL DEAD LP FROM 1970
(I've also listed The accompanying LP Historic Dead on EBAY)

Recorded at the Avalon Ballroom in San Francisco, California, in late 1966, and released in October 1970.

Vintage Dead was produced without the approval or cooperation of the Grateful Dead. However, it is a legal recording, not a bootleg. It was released on the Sunflower Records label, a subsidiary of MGM Records, and reached number 127 on the Billboard 200. Produced as a vinyl LP and long out of print, it has not been released as a CD.

Vintage Dead was followed by another Sunflower Records album recorded at the Avalon in 1966, Historic Dead.

SIDE 1 is etched in the run-off - SUN5001 MGS 2418 2 SEPT '70 E.O.

Condition:
Cover/Sleeve:- In OK condition. Edges are  scuffed and split at top of spine (see the scan), the corners are  cuffed as well. The front cover shows signs of wear where the LP has rubbed from the inside causing a  removal of the print in a circle.  Colours are still good and vibrant.

Vinyl:- There are slight surface marks on both sides, not many and should not affect playing (I have played this through and found no problems using light stylus.  The vinyl is still vibrant and shiny. The labels are in excellent quality.

All in all very good condition for a 45 year old LP
